FAQs about Private Parties at Noteology

Q: Do you do parties for perfume and candles?

Yes! You can book a perfume party or a candle party! However you cannot book a party and make both items; it is either perfume or candles. 

Q: When do parties happen?

We host our Perfume & Candle Parties during our normal business hours and after-hours for a private event Tuesday-Saturday.  

Q: Is there a minimum number of people required for a party?

Parties during our normal business hours do not have a minimum number of people but reservations are required. Parties that are after-hours have a minimum of 12 participating guests and also requires a reservation. If your guest count falls below the minimum at an after-hours private party, the host is required to pay for the difference.

Q: What about beverages, is it BYOB?

Yes, it is! You can bring your own bottles for private parties after hours as well as parties that occur during our normal business hours. Wine, beer, cider, or hard seltzer only, NO HARD LIQUOR. Any non-alcohol drink is also allowed. We do provide complimentary water, plastics cups and wine openers. We do not provide ice, so if you would like ice, please bring that along with a container for it.

Q: What about outside food? Do you allow it?

We do not allow outside food or snacks other than a celebratory cake or cupcakes. If you would like food to accompany your party, we are now offering adorable and delicious individual charcuterie boxes from a local caterer Amazing Graze for $20 per person.

If you are having an after-hours party with 12 or more guests, you can do a gorgeous charcuterie table for $20 per person too.

Q: What about décor? Can we decorate?

We ONLY allow decorating for parties that are scheduled after hours and nothing can be taped, nailed or hung to the walls. The studio looks awesome with balloons tied to the studio seating. 

Q. Do you do parties for kids, tweens and teens?

Yes, we do! The type of party depends on the age of the participants. If the participants are 12 years old or younger, they can do a perfume party. For this age group, we offer a kid-friendly roller-ball perfume size for $25 which includes the custom experience, sense of smell games & activities as well as their bottle to take home with their personalized label! For tweens and teens, 13 years old or older, they can do the adult version of the perfume party, see more details HERE. 

For tweens and teens 14 years old or order, they can do the adult version of the perfume party or the candle party. 

Q: How long do the parties last? 

Parties typically last 2 hours, dependent on the number of guests in your party. 

Q: Is there a cost to host a party?

There is no additional cost to have a party, however 18% gratuity will be charged per person for all groups with 8 or more people in their party. 

Q. How do we pay for our perfume or candles that we make? Do we need to pay ahead of time? 

You can either pay for your guests at or before the party if you would like to treat them or they can pay for their own bottle(s)/candles at the party. 

Q. How much does it cost to make our fragrance or candles at the party?

For perfume, we offer two bottle sizes to select from for your party. This price includes the Custom Perfume Studio Experience and your finished fragrance. Our standard house size bottle is a 60 ml bottle for $90 and we also offer our smaller 30 ml bottle for $60.

For candles, each participant will make 2 candles during the experience. The cost is $60.  

Q. Do I have to leave a deposit to hold my party date? 

Yes. We do require a $50 deposit to reserve your date. The $50 deposit will only be charged if you cancel your party within 2 weeks of your party date and you do not reschedule. 

Q: Do you provide glasses, plates, napkins, etc.?

We do not provide any glass or paper ware. So please bring everything you need to serve your food and beverages.

Q: Can I come before the party starts to set up decorations and/or food and beverages for an after-hours party?

Yes! We will have the store ready for you 15 minutes before your party begins. Feel free to come at that time.

Q: Do we have to clean up after the party?

Absolutely not! From start to finish, we will do everything we can to accommodate you and your guests. We will take care of the little details so that your party is fun and effortless!

Q: Are there any special perks with having a Private Perfume Party? 

Yes! As the host of the party, when you have 12 or more guests making a fragrance, you will receive a 30 ml bottle of your custom perfume for free! Also all participants get 15% off their purchases in the rest of the shop at the party! 15% off excludes already reduced merchandise, gift cards and the custom perfume studio experience.  

Q: Do we need to make reservations?

Yes! Reservations are required for parties. We recommend calling at least 2 weeks in advance of your desired party date as party slots fill up quickly. Please call (570) 343-2100 to make your reservation. Reservations are first come, first served. If you are looking for available dates, it is best to call rather than email as the shop have the most up to date info. Out of respect for other reservations and our staff, please arrive on time for your scheduled party. We will start the party promptly at your scheduled time and will not be able to wait for late-arriving guests. Thank you! 

Q: Do you do parties on location?

Yes! We can certainly come to you! There is an on-location fee that starts at $250 for us to come to you which is determined by the travel time involved and the number of guests in your party.  Please email Customer Service at info@Noteology.com for more details!
