FAQs about Private Parties at Noteology

Q: When do perfume parties happen?

We host Perfume Parties during our normal business hours and after-hours for a private event. 

During-Hour Parties can be reserved for the following start times: Tuesday-Friday 10:30 am, 1 pm, or 3 pm. Saturday start times: 10:30 am, 1 pm or 2 pm. 

Q: Is there a minimum number of people required for a perfume party?

Perfume Parties during our normal business hours do not have a minimum number of people but reservations are required. Parties that are after-hours have a minimum of 8 adults or 10 kids and also require a reservation. All guests are encouraged to make a fragrance. If guests in your party participate in the Custom Perfume Studio Experience and decide not to make a fragrance and/or your guest count falls below the minimum at the party, the host is required to pay for the difference so please make sure your guests come with the intention of experiencing the Custom Perfume Studio and creating a fragrance.  

Q: What about beverages, is it BYOB?

You can bring your own bottles for private parties after hours as well as parties that occur during our normal business hours. Wine, beer, cider, or hard seltzer only, NO HARD LIQUOR. Any non-alcohol drink is also allowed. We do not provide cups, glasses, or ice, so bring whatever you need to enjoy your beverages.

Q: What about food? Can we bring some?

You can bring snacks, food, lite fare only for parties that are after hours. We DO NOT allow food of any kind for parties that occur during our normal business hours. 

Q: What about décor? Can we decorate?

We ONLY allow decorating for parties that are scheduled after hours and nothing can be taped, nailed or hung to the walls. 

Q: Can you help with food and beverage?

Yes, we can help! We can arrange catering, beverages, floral & party decor, petit fours, cakes, cupcakes, chocolates, balloons and more. Check out our Party Packages for more details. Q. Do you do perfume parties for kids?

Yes, we can do a perfume party for kids ages 12 and under. For this age group, we offer a kid-friendly roller-ball perfume size for $25 which includes the custom experience, sense of smell games & activities as well as their bottle to take home with their personalized label! Kids parties require a minimum of 10 guests if they are doing the roller-ball bottle. If they would like to upgrade to the adult size (30 or 60 ml bottle) or larger, 8 guests is the minimum. Q: How long do the parties last? 

Parties typically last 1.5 to 2.5 hours, dependent on the number of guests in your party. 

Q: Is there a cost to host a party?

There is no additional cost to have a party. 

Q. How do we pay for our fragrances that we make?

You can either pay for your guests fragrances at or before the party if you would like to treat them or they can pay for their own bottle(s) at the party. 

Q. How much does it cost to make our fragrance at the party?

We offer two bottle sizes to select from for your party. This price includes the Custom Perfume Studio Experience and your finished fragrance. Our standard house size bottle is a 60 ml bottle for $90 and we also offer our smaller 30 ml bottle for $60.  

Q. Do I have to leave a deposit to hold my party date? 

Yes. We do require a $50 deposit to reserve your date. The $50 deposit will only be charged if you cancel your party within 2 weeks of your party date and you do not reschedule. 

Q: Do you provide glasses, plates, napkins, etc.?

Unless you book a Party Package (see below) with us, we do not provide any glass or paper ware. So please bring everything you need to serve your food and beverages.

Q: Can I come before the party starts to set up decorations and/or food and beverages for an after-hours party?

Yes! We will have the store ready for you a 1/2 hour before your party begins. Feel free to come at that time.

Q: Do we have to clean up after the party?

Absolutely not! From start to finish, we will do everything we can to accommodate you and your guests. We will take care of the little details so that your party is fun and effortless!

Q: Are there any special perks with having a Private Perfume Party? 

Yes! As the host of the party, when you have 12 or more guests making a fragrance, you will receive a 30 ml bottle of your custom perfume for free! Also all participants get 15% off their purchases in the rest of the shop at the party! 15% off excludes already reduced merchandise, gift cards and the custom perfume studio experience.  

Q: Do we need to make reservations?

Yes! Reservations are required for parties. We recommend calling at least 2 weeks in advance of your desired party date as party slots fill up quickly. Please call (570) 343-2100 to make your reservation. Reservations are first come, first served. If you are looking for available dates, it is best to call rather than email as the shop have the most up to date info. Out of respect for other reservations and our staff, please arrive on time for your scheduled party. We will start the party promptly at your scheduled time and will not be able to wait for late-arriving guests. Thank you! 

Q: Do you do parties on location?

Yes! We can certainly come to you! There is an on-location fee that starts at $250 for us to come to you which is determined by the travel time involved and the number of guests in your party.  Please email Customer Service at info@Noteology.com for more details!
